2.
Don’t let the world bring you down. Don’t let it make you into something you don’t want to be. When will you learn? Fuck the world! Don’t let the world bring you down. Don’t let it turn you into something that you hate. Don’t let the world bring you down. Don’t let it make you into something that you don’t want to be.
3.
We were betrayed in the 60’s. We were betrayed by The Beatles
4.
Fill your world with music and songs. Just be yourself and you’ll get along. Don’t forget the feelings of others. Be kind and treat them all like brothers. My Grandma said.
5.
Pleasant dreams tonight as you close your eyes Sore mental illusions. All I have is confusion. Everything’s already been said. Everything’s already in red Cast away in crimson red. written by Katlyn Morrison.
6.
You don’t know me so don’t expect me to say anything to you. You wronged me. I’m leaving. I can’t stand any of you. You don’t know me. You don’t know anything about me.
7.
Everything, I said everything tonight. Anything, say anything alright? You’re all the same. Anything, do anything now. Everything, I did everything. Nothing is safe. Nothing is fine. Nothing is. It’s hit by toxic sunshine.

about

Where to even begin.. Well, this was a very odd time in my life. This came about kind of out of nowhere. I had just returned home from a little adventure traveling down the east coast. I had started Toxic Sunshine in 2003 with Max and Brian. We had all went our separate ways. I made new friends. I moved to a shitty town. Gotten arrested with a bunch of my friends and generally kind of hated most things around me.

I decided to sneak on some buses with a friend of mine and we went to D.C., Baltimore, North and South Carolina, Georgia and then finally ended up in Florida. At the time Greyhound had a runaways ride free thing they were doing and we kind of took advantage of that from state to state. We ended up shooting all the way back down and ended up NYC sleeping in old subway stations after roaming the city until we were too tired to walk any longer. I don't know.. Somewhere along the way it just hit me. I wanted to restart Toxic Sunshine or at least be in a band and continue to write music.

I sat down with the only thing I had released up to that point, which was the 2003 release, Dear Mothman. It was old and definitely carried a sense of being out of touch with who I was in 2005 listening to it again. I literally had no way of "remixing" it at the time. I took inspiration from the bands that I love and the political music/art of bands like Crass and Flux. I kind of just tossed in as many random things that I could with all of the different political movies I had at the time.

Looking back I can't say it was a great idea, but because of me doing that and making a few copies I was able to stir up some attention with a kid who lived in the next town over who was interested in drumming. I also gained a lifelong friend, Dan Reda, out of it. He ended up joining the band briefly in 2005 until leaving shortly before our first show. He was replaced by John E. Knep. We filled out the band with another kid I had recently met named Chris Thomas who played guitar and sang with me. It was something kind of shitty that turned into a really amazing moment for me and the band.

I didn't expect much out of it then and I honestly can't see how anything came from it looking back now. They were 6 pretty terrible songs that I wrote when I was 14 and recorded a few months after and somehow it turned into something that got me on stage with my idols.

Toxic Sunshine kind of formed with a lot of bad luck and carried a lot of bad luck along the way, but the brightness between has been well worth the journey. It started with Mike Harden and myself. Mike ended up getting arrested for assaulting a cop and wasn't able to continue on in the band. I joined another band called Accidents, which led me to meet Max Eschbach. We reformed the band and convinced Brian Daniels to play bass. We broke up a few months after recording the original Dear Mothman when I fight broke out between Max's parents and Brian and I. After that I didn't really know what to expect, but somehow it all ended up working.. sometimes.

One day I will revive all of these songs as Toxic did with Fuck The World on Night Of The Living Glenn. It'll be RE: RE: Dear Mothman. Well, maybe not that title but it will happen. I had originally planned to record these songs over with Brian Daniels and Max Eschbach in late 2012 after starting to talk to Brian about it. Shortly after it started looking hopeful Max died in January of 2013. So now I have an even stronger urge to recreate these songs in his memory because without him Toxic Sunshine would have never got the kickstart it truly deserved.
